Steps for completing a firearms transfer with Moe & Sons Hardware

1. Purchase your selected firearm from the licensed dealer of your choice.
2. Reach out via phone (231-834-5737) to request a transfer of a firearm to our store.
3. We will get all necessary information to ensure we can properly notify you when your firearm arrives. (Full name, phone number, name of dealer shipping your firearm, description of firearm ordered, order number if applicable)
4. Request to have us email a copy of our current FFL to the selected dealer of your choice. (We will do this on your behalf to ensure accuracy of communication.)
5. Wait for us to call you and inform you that your firearm is ready for pickup.
6. Complete transfer in store, you will be required to have a valid state ID or Drivers License, a CPL if necessary, and fill out/pass the ATF form 4473.

Additional notes about our policy and fees included

• An advance notice is given
• $45.00 per firearm transferred (3% processing fee on all cards)
• Firearm(s) must be picked up within 2 weeks of us calling you to inform you it has arrived.
• Any firearm(s) not picked up within 2 weeks will be charged a $20.00 per day storage fee.
• Customers are responsible for any shipping cost incurred if a return is necessary.
• Firearms can not be returned to Moe & Sons Hardware after the point of transfer.
• Firearms left vacant in our building after 30 days of being notified can be added to store inventory or returned to the dealer you first purchased them from.
• If your background check is denied you are still responsible for the $45.00 firearm transfer fee & any shipping cost related to returning the firearm to the dealer you purchased it from.
